MALAYSIAKINI : TIME FOR POLICE TO ACT AGAINST UMNO!

According to Malaysiakini, Cheras Umno is now collecting funds to support Utusan Malaysia which is facing a defamation suit from Pakatan Rakyat MP YB Teresa Kok. Kicking off the fund with a RM20,000 contribution, division head Syed Ali Al Habshee said the Tabung Azan would also be used to assist mosques and suraus that needed money to buy loudspeakers for the purpose of the azan (call to prayer).

What's disturbing here is that Umno is onceagain playing the racila and religious card to cause communial strive in the country and the Police is blind to this fact! Syed Ali Al Habshee was quoted as saying “Teresa has challenged the honour of Malays by suing Utusan Malaysia as it is a newspaper owned by the Malays. He went on to add "Challenging the Malays is similar to challenging Umno,”.

In a letter to HINDRAF Chairman P. Waytha Moorthy dated Oct 11, 2008, SRIHERO revealed that Utusan Malaysia belongs to Umno.

ANOTHER TEMPLE TO BE DEMOLISHED BY PAKATAN RAKYAT?

YB S Manikavasagam received news that Majlis Daerah Hulu Selangor has issued a notice to demolish a temple in the premises of House No 13, Jalan 5, Taman Indah Serendah, Hulu Selangor. Not very pleasing news coming out of with consideration of the previous demolished temple at Ampang.

This must be another pariah tactic by the ultimate Pariah Party, MIC! I bet Samy Vellu and MIC are behind this one as well. Samy and MIC will do anything to lie and cheat the Rakyat especially the Indians just to win over their support. I also bet that moronic MIC blogger who loves to put 3 question marks ??? for the thrash he writes will surely do a spin on this.

We understand Majlis Daerah issued notice after received a complain from it’s Councilor (Ahli Majlis) whom happen to be member of Parti Keadilan Rakyat and neighbour residing next to temple since he was disturbed by height of the statue of about 1.8metre.

YB S. Manikavasagam has send his representative to identify the root cause of the problem while awaiting feedback from State Government. He hope the Local Authorities will justify their action to the State Authority by not taking sensitive matters on their own hands.
We would like to hear from representative of Hindu organisation and other NGO on possible solution.

DETAINEE TORTURED UNDER ISA - Malaysiakini

Malaysiakini has in the past featured articles and letters of people tortured under the ISA. Here is one such case.

At approximately 1pm on 9 September, Sanjeev Kumar was released from Kamunting Detention Center where he had been detained under the Internal Security Act for more than a year. The government had accused him of being a foreign spy, but was not formally charged in court. He was tortured and suffered other ill‐treatment whilst in detention. Having been paralyzed on his left hand side he is now confined to a wheelchair. Sanjeev Kumar is presently at home with his family, but remains under surveillance.

The Malaysian government has issued a surveillance order for Sanjeev Kumar under the Restricted Residence Act, which allows the authorities to restrict his movement for any period as required, without any judicial review or administrative hearings. The Internal Security Minister issues these orders which can also demand that a suspect reside in a particular location, or prohibit him or her from entering any other designated area.Sanjeev Kumar was arrested on 28 July 2007 by officers from the Special Branch of the Malaysian Police. He was held under the terms of the Internal Security Act (ISA), which allows for detainees to be held without charge indefinitely.For the first eight weeks, Sanjeev Kumar was detained at the Federal Police Headquarters in the capital, Kuala Lumpur.

According to sources close to him, he was tortured and ill‐treated throughout this period. Police officers beat him repeatedly, stepped on his back, and hit his head with a plastic bottle filled with water. The police also made him drink his urine and inserted a mop into his anus. They forced him to sign a document, even though he reportedly cannot read or write. He did not have access to a lawyer, and the contents of the document he signed are not known.No further appeals are requested at present. Many thanks to all who sent appeals. More ISA torture here:

Malaysiakini: Malaysian Indians are not Pariahs. Only Samy, Punithan, MIC & their supporters are!

The following two postings on Malaysia Today caught my attention. The first is by Nathan:

In 1998, we hosted the Commonwealth games in Malaysia. That was a very big event. For that purpose, the Bukit Jalil Stadium was built. It was built on land acquired from what was formerly known as the 'Bukit Jalil Rubber Estate'.

Now that we have a grandiose stadium called the Bukit Jalil Stadium, the Tamil School of Bukit Jalil Estate is housed in the former smoke house of that rubber estate!! I read this in an article in the press at around the time the Commonwealth games were due to be held; so this is no hearsay!

We built that stadium, but we couldn't afford to build that Tamil School a proper school? Just how much would it have cost to acquire part of the Estate land and build a school for those pupils? The many Tamil schools in the country are in this category because the government has been most reluctant to acquire estate land and build proper schools for these pupils, even after 51 years of Independance. And some still with blind loyalty to the MIC in the Barisan National government hoping that in the next 5 years they will begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

HINDRAF is trying to change all this, by taking 'the road less travelled'.
I have, in my years of Government service, seen this blatant discrimination for myself! When the Sekolah Kebangsaan in a small town receives new desks and chairs for the pupils, the old desks and chairs are given to the nearest Tamil School!

In Temerloh, a new 3 storey school building was constructed for the Sekolah Kebangsaan, and the old building that was vacated was given to the Tamil School, that was squatting on Railway land in Mentakab, Pahang!

The MIC and Samy have been rejected as "Irrelevant" by the COMMUNITY. The proof was in the March 8th Verdict!

Wither a place in the Malaysian Sun for the poorer Indians who have been displaced by Indonesian labour in the Estates in this Country?

Do you know that UiTM has an enrolment of about 105,000 students whereas our premier university, University of Malaya, has only a total enrolment of only 23,000 students? Furthermore, UiTM has more 1000 PhD holders in their Academic staff. Today, I saw on TV that UiTM has been offering an equine (horses related) course for some years now, complete with a paddock, stables and 15 horses!

There are plans to increase the total enrolment UiTM to 200,000 students within the next few years ... and yet they organised a huge protest when the MB of Selangor Tan Sri Khalid suggested that 10% of the students admitted to UiTM be non-Bumiputeras!!

So where do you think the Indians fit into this Malaysian Equation? To be offered approprite opportunities to acquire skills for Social Mobilty, to enhance their economic status? Or are they destined to remain 'pariahs' in their own Country? Destined to be fodder for the Police Detention Centers?

I like your reporting which I trust is unbiased and neutral. The report by Srihero on why some other blogger could publish an article published by Waytha Moorthy on the demolition of the temple before Hindraf.org is not the issue but what is the relevance of it. Don't you think it would be wise for you for check and verify why this happened rather thn publishing what our over zealous Srihero publish for his own tit for tat.

Could it not be possible that this mail is sent out as a bulk mail and it appears everywhere else before Hindraf.org. Think about it? This is not a platform to fight individual battles but a battle for the society that we intend to create.

Who is this srihero character? Have you asked yourself this question and what is his contribution for the society other than finding a platform to voice his frustration without thinking and the cause that the society is build on. Is this his own battle or a society's battle. Is he using you as a platform for his own frustration and grievances. Think and act wisely and don't fall into the trap and I trust you are wise enough to do that based on my instinct.

HINDRAF views with deep concern statements by MIC leader Dato Seri Samy Velu that he has “spoken to” HINDRAF leaders and that they support MIC and the Barisan Candidate in Permatang Pauh.

This is a blatant lie by Dato Samy Velu and irresponsibly made to confuse the voters in Permatang Pauh.

We challenge Samy Velu to name the leaders he has “spoken to”. We are aware there are groups that call themselves Makkal Sakti (who are proxies of MIC) and are misleading the public so it may be possible Samy Velu has spoken to these “bogus supporters” who claim to represent HINDRAF.

It is a fact that HINDRAF supporters are absent in Permatang Pauh but that is a policy matter of HINDRAF and has nothing to do with MIC. HINDRAF is an organisation that stands on its own principles and will never be dictated by any political party.

As far as HINDRAF is concerned MIC is an obsolete Political Party that does not command the support of the majority Malaysian Indians for their sins in colluding with the UMNO led Government in cheating the Malaysian Indians for 51 years. Samy Velu is seeking cheap publicity by insinuating that HINDRAF is under his arms.

HINDRAF has always sough social and equal justice for the ethnic minority Malaysian Indians and will continue to do so irrespective of who or which party rules the Country.The Indians in Permatang Pauh are politically mature and are well aware of the political ploy by Barisan Government led by UMNO. They will never fall for Barisan’s empty promises again and look for a better Malaysia where all races are treated equally.

honestly i am/was not very much into 'street protest' idea. I believe Malaysia is far more civilized for that.BUT NOWLearning from the change of tide in my malaysia, i bow to the reality, 'SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO CHANGE THE TUNE WHEN THERE IS A NEED"Talking about street protests and demos, we rarely get to see MIC(BN) in ACTION, as they always give priorities to round table or closed door discussions to get(try) things solved. So the leaders TALK and we(RAKYAT) enjoys/ suffers the outcome.This 'style' caused them alot in GE-12. The oppositions managed to spin it and the rakyats were infected by amnesia. Opposition's OPEN STYLE seems more attractive and most importantly gave a feel of PARTICIPATION for the rakyat.THE RAKYAT ALWAYS RIGHT The tide changed. They want everything to be transparent. they want be a part of it.A good political party should walk in a style preferred by rakyat. According to Punithan's Blog, photo can be seen on top, Punithan is a final year medical student. I'm wondering how on earth is Punithan able to have so many blogs and websites and all of them seem to be updated on a daily basis. I wonder if all final year medical students are as free as he is.

I did some checking on this character Punithan Shan, and I found out that this MIC joker appears to be ruffled by the fact that Margeemar has blown his cover of lies and deception. Punithan is now trying to win Indian sympathy by diverting attention from the fact that he has been misleading the public (especially the Indians) with his phony Hindraf tag by repeating a posting in Margeemar's Blog calling Punithan a 'Pariah'. Action against another Blogger?

The Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) has called on the police to take action against a controversial blogger for posting inflammatory racist remarks against the Indian Malaysian community. 'Idiots, morons, drunkard bastards' and Bukit Aman said they want to investigate.
Wahhhhhh ......... again another police reports was made against another blogger. How to create an article and become a blogger ? I was wondering ?

Now, who was that blogger ? Why Bukit Aman wants to investigate and why the police report was lodge by The Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf).

There must be a big issue....... but during that time I don't know who was that blogger ? That was the morning news.In the evening the news comes out again but this time with an apology statement from her. MALAYSIAKINI: DEMOLITION OF SRI MAHA KALIAMMAN TEMPLE AMPANG. HINDRAF HAS LOST THE PLOT!

The stained hands of the Special Branch can be seen where recent statements made by Dr M Kalaivani and B Buvaneswary, the wives of K Kenghadharan and V Ganabatirau, which appeared in -malaysiakini.html on 26/09/08 and front paged on Tamil Nesan and Makkal Osai on 27/09/08, who said the struggle of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) is different now compared to when it started under the leadership of the five who are currently under ISA detention, and that they were not comfortable with the direction in which the movement has taken. It appears here the Special Branch has something to do with such statements coming out from the wives of the HINDRAF ISA Detainee's.

Punithan Shan by himself is a nobody, however he seems to execute his deceptions with the guidance and support of powerful forces linked to UMNO and MIC.

Pakatan Rakyat and HINDRAF must be proactive and stand united against this very serious assault from the BN/Umno regime. In fact, Pakatan Rakyat and HINDRAF must take legal action against the likes of Punithan Shan before more damage is done.

As for Kapar MP Manikavasagam, please remember that you were voted by not only Malaysian Indians but also all other Malaysians who had enough of the racist BN/Umno regime. If you quit because of your race, then you are also a racist like those in Umno. MIC and MCA.
